Cleland Jardine Engineering has been the lead restoration and structural engineer maintaining the serviceability of the Market Garage for 20 years. This is Ottawa’s first public parking garage, constructed in 1965, and requires careful TLC to keep this Ottawa landmark in good condition for generations of parkers to come.

Over the years the team at Cleland Jardine Engineering has worked with the Owner and tenants to carefully design restoration programs to maintain the garage in service while performing major structural repairs and upgrades, including replacement of structural concrete ramps and slabs, upgrading and fit-up of management office interiors, and the complete replacement of one of the emergency exit stairwells.
