755 Somerset Street, Stone Masonry Restoration
Building Revitalization
Cleland Jardine Engineering completed the heritage restoration of the load bearing stone masonry cladding at 755 Somerset in Ottawa. The interior of the building remained in use and was shored in place while the entire east elevation was carefully dismantled and rebuilt with materials and methods to suit industry best practices of heritage conservation. The repair also included replacement and upgrading of structural window lintels, and a complete replacement of the fenestration.
