Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. designed and completed construction and project management for the heritage restoration of a limestone wall at the Ottawa Normal School, otherwise known as the Teacher’s College, extension of the Ottawa City Hall. The restoration at this National Historic Site included localized reconstruction of the exterior wythe of stone masonry, including localized replacement or resetting of quoins, band courses, copings, and large decorative corbels. Cintec reinforcement was designed and installed through the corbels to stitch structural cracking and for increased resistance to seismic loads.
