152-160 Bank Street, Stabilization Repairs
Commercial
Cleland Jardine Engineering completed a structural condition and cladding assessment of the vacated 3-storey mixed-use building 152-160 Bank Street. Lateral displacement of the unreinforced masonry piers on the building’s front elevation was observed during the assessment. CJEL worked with Morguard to develop a cost-effective repair strategy to stabilize the brick piers while long term plans for the building are developed. CJEL designed and administered the installation of steel supports that are anchored to the floor structure within the building. The project was successfully carried out by BGC Construction and Restoration.
