  • Laurentian Place

    Ottawa, Ontario

    The project involved the structural design team for the 5-storey, 95,000 ft2 office tower designed with a central, reinforced concrete core. It has a large mechanical penthouse on the roof and an adjacent 1-storey, 77,000 ft2 reinforced concrete parking garage. Tenant fit-up items such as inter-floor convenience stairs and heavily loaded filing rooms were included during the final phase of base building design.

  • 700 Silver 7 Office Tower

    Ottawa, Ontario

    The 5-storey, 73,000 ft2 reinforced concrete office tower, was constructed as a design-build project. Located in Kanata, Ontario the pile supported structure was originally designed and detailed to house office areas and the sensitive computer equipment. A multi-storey atrium was located in the front of the building with the structural elements being designed to allow the owner to infill the atrium area in the future with minimal disruptions to occupants.

    Ottawa, Ontario

    The 4-storey office building for Accreditation Canada in Ottawa, Ontario is a 55,000 ft2 concrete structure utilized a central concrete core to maximize usable floor area. His responsibilities included the preparation of concept design sketches, all necessary working drawings and specifications for building permit application and tender, in accordance with P.E.O. standards, and the coordination of the construction services including the review of all submitted structural shop drawings and periodic site review of the structural work.

  • Telus Building

    Ottawa, Ontario

    Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. was the structural design team for the 150,000 ft2, 9-storey, LEED Gold accredited, Class A office building which was designed to accommodate the new Ottawa Telus Headquarters. Due to the curved contours of the building and large overhangs, significant structural detailing was required. Also, several complex canopies and exterior walls were conceived, including the front marquee wall, which displays the Telus logo.
