Education and Innovation is a Key to Growth

Lunch & Learn professional development session on safety and heights.

The 2017 Buildings Show saw over 30,000 industry professionals take part in a 3 day educational and networking conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. A leader in Canada for the design and construction communities, the show is home to Construct Canada, IIDEX Canada, PM Expo, and the World of Concrete offering an opportunity for professionals to discover new innovations, emerging technologies, and take part in a comprehensive seminar program. Members from our Team were proud to attend this year’s conference and participate in many of the show’s professional development and educational components.

Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd (CJE) believes in the importance of both personal and professional development for the overall growth and success of our Team. Our ability to learn, question, adapt and implement new ideas and emerging technologies, new construction methodologies, as well as new design approaches is key to our ability to provide our clients and partners with the best structural solutions possible. CJE’s willingness to take on the challenges of these new concepts helps our team grow both internally and externally. As new opportunities emerge, new Team members are brought on board to grow with them. As new approaches come forward, current team members take on the challenge of growing their skills and advancing their professional abilities. This internal growth helps power Team members forward into the future and allows them to achieve their personal career goals.

Every year the construction industry pushes forward, reaches new heights, and seeks to find new solutions to current challenges. By attending events such as The Buildings Show, participating in online courses, or even the most basic “Lunch-&-Learn” helps our Team members move forward with those changes, and in turn, helps CJE grow and innovate with the ever changing world of design and construction.
