Cleland Jardine Engineering Limited is a bilingual consulting firm specializing in structural and building science engineering and in the investigation, analysis, design, and review of both new and existing buildings.

Founded in 1993 by Michael Cleland, P. Eng. and Robert Jardine, P. Eng., the company has grown into one of the largest structural engineering firms in Ontario. With a staff of over 40 professionals, Cleland Jardine Engineering Limited remains committed to a core philosophy of team design.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario the firm is licensed to practice engineering in the provinces of Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Cleland Jardine Engineering Limited’s partnership group – André Marcoux, P. Eng., ing., Brian Johnson, P. Eng., BDS, Robert Nevin, P. Eng., Matthew Jaynes, CET, and Ryan Munden, P. Eng. – together with Mr. Cleland and Mr. Jardine, offer over 150 years of combined engineering, analysis, design, investigation, and construction experience.

The firm has successfully completed thousands of projects on a wide range of private and publically owned facilities with construction value ranges of up to $160 million dollars. To complete these projects, the firm makes use of the latest in structural engineering analysis and design software and CAD programs, as well as emerging building investigation technologies. The firm also houses a BIM modeling group which operates using Autodesk’s REVIT.
